 Board Member Highlight:  Mike Kristan

SMFPI Board Members

For this month’s Board Member Highlight, we are excited to feature

Michael Kristan, SMFPI Executive Director

Personal Life & Interests:

Outside of his work, Mike values spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys going on vacation and traveling. He will be visiting Lisbon and Fatima in March.

Professional Background:

Mike works as a territory manager for InterMetro Industries, specializing in storage and work center equipment for industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, and universities.

Involvement with SMFPI:

Mike has been involved with SMFPI since its inception in September 2022, with its official establishment as a nonprofit in 2023. The organization originated from a ministry at Sacred Heart Cathedral aimed at helping men lead more virtuous lives, particularly those overcoming addictions, with a strong focus on addressing the role of technology in these struggles.

A key motivation for his work is combating human trafficking by focusing on transforming men's hearts. He believes that addressing issues at their root—helping men overcome addictions and destructive behaviors—can lead to a reduction in trafficking and a positive shift in society.

Passion for SMFPI and Restore:

Mike emphasized that his work with SMFPI is the most important endeavor he has ever been part of. He is eager for SMFPI to expand into healthcare, focusing on holistic healing that integrates mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. He highlighted the need for an authentic, grace-filled healthcare system that treats the whole person—mind, body, and soul.

We are grateful for his leadership, passion, and dedication to SMFPI. Stay tuned for more Board Member Highlights in upcoming newsletters!

Grow in Virtue This Lent with Chesterton

Image description

Lent is a time for spiritual renewal, and what better way to embark on this journey than by rediscovering virtue as an adventure? G.K. Chesterton reminds us that true virtue is not merely the avoidance of vice but a life filled with joy and purpose.

Join the Society of G.K. Chesterton this Lent as we explore a different virtue each week—reflecting on the Cardinal virtues (Temperance, Justice, Fortitude, and Prudence) and the Theological virtues (Faith, Hope, and Love). Through Chesterton’s wisdom, scripture, and traditional symbols, we will deepen our understanding of holiness in everyday life.
